Qualtrics Account Upgrade

OIT has partnered with Qualtrics, Inc. to make the Qualtrics Research Suite available to the EHE community. Training videos are available online and Qualtrics, Inc. provides all customer support.

How Do I Get Started?

Getting started with Qualtrics is easy: If you're eligible to use the system, just complete our our Qualtrics Account Upgrade Request form by clicking on Request Service button on the right of the page. Once you have an account, you can access the system at osu.qualtrics.com.

What's Included

Qualtrics is a fully-featured online survey research tool. It lets survey builders utilize more than 100 different question types including multiple choice options, Likert scaling, and text entry. The system also allows you to embed images, video, and audio resources directly into your surveys. Survey creators can also randomize questions, customize text for each respondent, send email invitations and follow-up messages, and control question flow based on responses. Our agreement with Qualtrics also lets survey builders create "File Upload" questions so survey respondents can upload documents into the Qualtrics system. This feature is enabled for all EHE users. Respondents can upload files up to 16 MB in size and survey owners can download files individually or all together as a .zip file. Optional Features

Read-only accounts are available by special request. Read-only account holders cannot create or distribute surveys but do have access to survey data. Contact the OIT Service Desk for more details.

Pricing

There is no cost to use this service for instructional, research, and administrative purposes.

Eligibility

To use Qualtrics, you must meet the following criteria:

1. You must have a valid Ohio State Username (your lastname.#), and
2. You must be:
   • currently employed by EHE as a faculty or staff member or student employee;
   • a current EHE graduate or undergraduate student;
   • an active Family and Consumer Sciences faculty or staff member.
