Polycom Trio 8800 Setup and Configuration

Polycom Trio 8800 Collaboration Kit

The Polycom Trio 8800 allows you to utilize Skype for Business for making both audio and video conference calls. It also allows you to share content wirelessly from your computer or mobile device to your display. Recent firmware updates to the device have allowed for an additional 12x Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera for higher end video conferencing quality, or for use in larger spaces.

ASCTech will work to:

  1. Determine if the Polycom Trio 8800 is the right device for your needs.
  2. Receive and configure the Polycom Trio 8800 for deployment.
  3. Request the exchange resource calendar that will be used to schedule the Polycom Trio 8800 if it doesn’t already exist.
  4. Identify individual from department to serve as lead for calendar training and for managing calendar permissions.
  5. Ensure that permissions are working and that client(s) can edit calendar as needed
  6. Work with vendors on the install of video conferencing equipment and integration into control panels.
  7. Configure panels for deployment (including proper firewall rules, static IP addresses and placing the device on the VOIP VLAN.)
  8. Continue to support the Polycom Trio 8800 for the duration of the product lifecycle.

All items will be handled by ASCTech’s Academic Technology team unless specifically noted or requested.

We understand that some support managers will want to take a more hands on role in the rollout and training of these devices. We want you to be as involved as you want to be. We can work with you on what exactly that would look like
