Overview
Software Center on Windows contains many useful software packages.
Installing via Software Center does not require an administrative account, and ensures your machine gets the OSU approved package.
Software Center is also used for operating system upgrades and patches.
Launching Software Center
Windows 10
The process for starting Software Center is slightly different on Windows 10 and 11. On Windows 10 click the Start button and search for "Software Center". Open the program.
Windows 11
On Windows 11, use the search icon and type "Software Center". Open the app.

Using Software Center
Once inside Software Center, select the program you would like to install. Using the search bar is useful.
For updates, use the Updates option on the left side.

After you select a program, click the blue install button. You will be able to choose other programs to install or continue working on your computer while the program installs.
