Service Description:
Researcher engagement is a significant interaction between a researcher or research group and the ASCTech Research Computing Facilitation group with the objective of improving research support through a better mutual understanding of research-related IT needs and resources.
Eligibility:
Available to all research groups within the College of Arts & Sciences.
Standard Availability:
Requests fulfilled during normal business hours.
What Is Included:
Researcher engagement typically starts as a single conversation between a researcher or a research group and an ASCTech research facilitator. The simplest output of an engagement is a description of research needs that is available to the rest of ASCTech, in order to improve the quality of future support. We may be able to match up unmet needs with existing resources, can investigate solutions to less routine problems, and can represent particular pain points to ASC's Faculty Advisory Committee on IT or other relevant groups. An engagement may also launch one or more research facilitation projects.
