Solstice Pod is a product that allows people to wirelessly display (or "cast") their screens to a display in EHE classrooms and conference rooms. To begin, follow these steps:
How to do it
Select “Solstice Pod” as the input on the room’s AV system
On your device:
- Connect to osuwireless. (some devices require Bluetooth enabled)
- First time users, download the Solstice app.
- Go to http://go.osu.edu/solstice
- Download the software for the platform you are currently using (this app will not need to be re-downloaded for future use.)
- Launch the Solstice app.
- Go to the ‘Enter IP’ tab and type the IP address of the Solstice Pod, which is displayed either in the top right or bottom left corner of the room's display.
- Select what you would like to cast to the display. There are three options:
- Entire desktop
- Specific window
- Specific media files
- Enter the screen key, which is displayed either in the middle of the screen or in the bottom left corner.
Note: To avoid constant notifications from the Solstice Pod client during connections, navigate within the application to ‘Settings’ and then ‘General’ and then select ‘None’ for notification settings.
