Automatically backup your computer with CrashPlan

  1. Install CrashPlan from EHE Apps if using a Windows Computer, or from the Ohio State Application Self Service if using a Mac.
  2. Enter your name.#@osu.edu in the username field, and clients.us2.crashplan.com in the Server Address field:
  3. Finish signing in on the OSU login page that opens in a web browser. Return to the CrashPlan app when finished signing in and authenticating. 
  4. If you're setting up a computer on CrashPlan for the first time, select the option to "Add new device." If you wish to transfer files or settings to your computer, select "Replace Existing" and follow the instructions on the app. 
  5. Once set-up is complete, CrashPlan will automatically backup your computer once a week, and it will send a weekly status email.
