APL Placement Updates
Submit updates related to placements under review or requiring action.
When Should I Use This Service?
Use this service to submit:
✅ Approved Requests
A placement has been updated to "Program Approval Needed' and you are approving the changes detailed in the row as seen in the App.
Examples
- District recommended an alternate mentor, school or grade-level and the program needs to approve the match.
❌ Denied Requests
A placement has been updated to program approval needed. Submit denial decisions and requested updates for placements that cannot move forward as proposed.
Examples
- There is a documented concern about the mentor.
- The student attended this school.
- The placement does not meet SDLS required accommodations.
🔄 Change Requests
A placement status is updated to approved: compliance check needed, confirmed, or active. Submit updates after a placement request has already been submitted.
Examples
- The mentor informs you they are no longer available (ex: leave of absence).
- Student has dropped the program.
- The student has updated transportation needs which fall outside of the 60-minute bus policy.
