Computer and Peripheral Hardware Purchases

The Office of Information Technology has created a list of standard computers and peripherals the Service Desk supports. 

How Do I Get Started?

What's Included

  • Please review the EHE Computer Standards for recommended computers and peripherals.
  • A member of the Service Desk will submit a Workday purchase request for your new equipment and provide you with the requisition number.
  • All purchase requests will be routed to your fiscal officer for approval.

Eligibility

This service is available for all faculty and staff of the College of Education and Human Ecology.

  • If computer equipment is past it’s useful life, as determined by OIT, and the requester does not have other computers assigned to them.
  • Acquisition of a standard iPad+keyboard cover as part of instructional initiatives, where the requester is teaching a class and does not have current iPad.

The following types of equipment are considered eligible for this service:

  • Computers (please see the EHE Computer Standards list)
  • Computer Monitors
  • Desktop Printers
  • Scanners
  • External Hard Drives*
  • Other external storage such as Flash/Thumb Drives
  • Projectors
  • Some audio visual equipment (call OIT with specific questions)

NOTE: For unique computing work that involves high-end data processing, please reach out to the EHE Office of Information Technology for a special consultation.

Not Eligible
Only computer related peripherals are eligible. Furniture, microscopes, appliances or any scientific lab equipment are outside our scope.

  • *External Hard drives must have a justification document and approval from the College's Security Coordinator prior to quoting or purchasing
