How to Draw in Word, PowerPoint, and Zoom Using the COP Classroom Touch Screens

SUMMARY
COP classrooms are equipped with touch screens on the podiums to allow for drawing and annotation.

Classroom Pool rooms are not equipped with touch screens (PK 103, 107, 111, 157, 257)

 

Find the Drawing Tools in Word and PowerPoint

Click the Draw tab to display the Drawing Tools.

Write or Draw

  1. Click the desired drawing tool. A small arrow will appear on the selected button. Click the arrow to see the thickness and color options.

  1. On the touch screen, use the stylus to begin writing or drawing.

Draw or Annotate in PowerPoint Slide Show Mode

  1. In Slide Show mode, tap the tip of the stylus near the lower left edge of the screen. A row of circular icons will appear.

  2.  Tap the circular icon with the pen inside it. A drawing menu will appear.

  1. Choose the desired function (Laser Pointer, Pen, or Highlighter) and color.
  2. Use the stylus to draw on the slides.
  3. When exiting Slide Show mode, choose to Keep or Discard annotations.

Draw or Annotate in Zoom Meetings

  1. Start a Zoom Meeting.
  2. Click the green Share Screen icon.
  3. Choose Whiteboard and click Share.

  1. The annotation menu will appear.

  1. Click the Draw icon to access pen, highlighter, and shape functions.
  2. Click the Format icon to change the color.
