RESOURCE: Using Top Hat for anonymous audiences

Creating a Top Hat course

Navigate to Top Hat and log in with your Ohio State credentials. Upon login you will be taken to your home page, where you can click the Create Course button in the top right corner of the window. Review the following Top Hat resource on creating courses for additional support if needed.

Adding questions to your course

If you need support while adding questions to your course, refer to Top Hat's guide on interactive questions. This guide. Top Hat has a new question builder that can be used alongside their "classic" question builder.

Making your course anonymous

To make your course anonymous, meaning that participants will not have to log in to their Top Hat account and you will not know who is responding, reach out to support@tophat.com. Ask them to enable guest access for your course and provide them with the join code.

As a reminder, this feature is NOT for normal classroom settings where you need to know who is responding and/or have the course sync with the Carmen gradebook.

Presenting

Additional Support

As always, you can submit a ticket with the LDM team for additional Top Hat support if needed.
