Office applications may continuously prompt users to login to their Microsoft account and activate the license.

Scenario 1
If you are continuously prompted to login when launching Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc), try these steps:
- Open one of your Office applications (Word, Excel, etc).
- Click your name in the upper right corner and choose Sign Out.
- Close out of all Office applications.
- Re-launch the same Office application and sign in to your OSU account when prompted (students, use your BuckeyeMail address).
- When prompted, un-check the box “Allow my organization to manage my device”.
- You should now be signed in, which you can verify under File > Account.
Scenario 2
Another possible error upon signing in to Office applications is a CAA50021 error:

Perform these steps as a possible resolution:
- Close all Office applications.
- From the Start Menu, click the Settings (gear) icon.
- Navigate to Accounts > Access work or school.
- Click on the Work or school account associated with your name.#@osu.edu and then click Disconnect.
- After the account is removed, re-launch an Office application and complete the sign-in process as documented in Scenario 1, Steps 4-6 (above).
