  • OTDI will create an organizational email account for university business.

Eligibility

  • Available to OSU faculty and staff.

Standard Availability

  • Service available 24/7; requests fulfilled during normal business hours per OTDI guidelines.

Cost

  • Free to eligible users.

Special Considerations

How to Request

  1. Navigate to https://go.osu.edu/IT
  2. If you are not logged in, click the red “Sign in to your account” button
  3. Click Order Services in the left side menu
  4. Click the Messaging & Collaboration Services category
  5. Click the University Email Service – Organizational Account Request service
  6. Enter the following:
    1. Org account name
      1. This will be the part after the “COP-“ in the address, i.e. entering “Admissions” would result in an address of COP-Admissions@osu.edu and a distribution group name of COP Admissions.
    2. Alternate account owner
    3. List of users that should have access to the organizational account
    4. List of student "S" accounts that should have access to the organizational account
  7. Click the red Next button
  8. If you wish to deviate from the standard naming convention, you can check the Edit These Values box. This will lengthen the time that it takes OTDI to complete your request.
  9. Click the red Next button, then click Order Now.
