Office365 Error - "Sorry, another account from your organization is already signed in on this computer"

SUMMARY

To resolve this issue, try the following:

  1. Open Word. Click your name in the upper right corner, then click Sign Out, then click Sign Out again if prompted.
  2. Close Word
  3. Click the start menu and type "credential manager"
  4. Click the Credential Manager icon when it appears in the search results
  5. Click the Windows Credentials icon
  6. Under the Generic Credentials section, click on each entry that starts with “Microsoft” or “msteams” and then click the Remove link
  7. When all Microsoft-related credentials are removed, close Credential Manager
  8. Open Word. You should be prompted to sign in. Attempt to sign in, authenticate to BuckeyePass, and see if the error message has gone away.
  9. If you encounter an “error code CAA50024”, click Continue, close Word, and open it one more time.
