Service Description:
Administrative access enabling privilege escalation on one or more devices or services.
Eligibility:
Faculty and staff who have a demonstrated business need to administrate their devices.
Requirements:
Non-faculty will need to provide a reason for administrative access, and a supervisor's/PI approval.
Please keep in mind:
- You should never run as admin. Admin should only be used for privilege escalation as needed and never for conducting routine tasks while logged in as an admin.
- You may not use the admin account to install any unapproved applications, particularly not any Cloud applications that have not been risk assessed or approved by ASC IT Risk.
- Admin accounts can never be used to remove or thwart any ASCTech configurations, software, or security controls
Administrative users must agree to shared administrative access with ASCTech and keeping their device current to OSU security practices, along with other requirements that will be specified with access.
